Family is a strong tradition in the south. The Samuels family now boasts the fourth generation to enjoy living on the same property in Thomson, Georgia. Graced with numerous Chinaberry trees, the family home place is now the location of Chinaberry Foods owned and operated by Tommy Samuels.

When Tommy retired from the restaurant business, his love for excellent cooking and good food did not. To offer and promote a "Taste of the South" to discriminating palates, a new business, Chinaberry Foods emerged. With the motto "A Matter of Taste", Tommy soon began baking and selling his signature item, cheese straws. A true southern delicacy, the cheesy wafer was an overnight sensation and soon Chinaberry Foods quickly became the premiere location which supplied area wedding planners and caterers with this delicious cheese wafer.

Although Chinaberry Foods offers a wide variety of outstanding baked goodies, the cheese straws remain as the signature classic and the crowd favorite.
